Re-branding Santa

Santa is to be "re-branded." Instead of giving a certain red and white soft drinks company free adverting by wearing their colours year after year, he will now be changing from his usual red and white colours to promote another business.

(PRWEB) December 18, 2005 -- For years a certain (red and white) soft drinks company has been cashing in on free advertising from Santa Claus. Many people believe that this famous drinks company invented the red and white Santa to match their colours, this is not strictly true, they merely popularised it. In the 1930s the drinks company began using Santa in their adverts, naturally showing him in the now popular red and white.

Whilst there is nothing particularly wrong or harmful with this, it however is unfair that a large multi-national like this particular drinks company gets to cash in on this free advertising every year.

It is now time for the drinks company to move over and let someone else cash in on Santa’s free advertising. Santa is now being "re-branded" for our own marketing purposes. Santa should from now on wear the colours of The Analogue Revolution.com. Instead of Santa wearing red and white with black boots and belt, he should now wear orange and white with black boots and belt.

If you agree to this and think it is time to let someone smaller, rather than a multi-national benefit from free adverting, please sign our petition at http://new.petitiononline.com/rebrand/petition.html.
