OnlyMyEmail has earned a coveted place in PC Magazine's "Best of the Year" list, published in the Dec. 27th 2005 issue.
The “Best of the Year” category includes only 93 technology solutions, chosen from more than 1,300 products reviewed in 2005 by writers, editors and reviewers.
OnlyMyEmail qualified for consideration on the "Best of the Year" list based on its anti-spam performance as tested earlier in the year.
During that review, OnlyMyEmail was awarded an "Editors Choice Award" for its exceptional accuracy in terms of both correcting identifying spam (99.6%) while producing minimal critical false positive results.
Since then, OnlyMyEmail’s anti-spam technology has also been included in PC World’s 2005 “World Class Awards” listing of the top 100 technologies reviewed by that publication.
Steven P. Burkett, Vice President of Development at OnlyMyEmail comments: “We’ve always been very proud of our proprietary ground-up anti-spam solutions. Still, we never imagined being included on the “best of the year” lists complied by the first two publications that reviewed the performance of our anti-spam technology.”
Key to inclusion on both “best technology” lists is OnlyMyEmail’s exceptionally high spam capture rate in combination with minimum critical false-positive results. While most anti-spam vendors will claim similar filtering results, having actually delivered a blocking rate at 99.6% based on live email streams, and without interfering with critical business email is a result that few, if any, other anti-spam solutions can match.
Burkett summarizes the real-world results delivered by the OnlyMyEmail.com system, this way: “While most competitors look for a simple solution to the spam issue, what we’ve found over the last three years is that there is no magic bullet for solving such a complex and dynamic problem.”
He continues: “To achieve results at this level OnlyMyEmail employs over 20 separate layers of proprietary technology, each tuned in a way to work with and compliment the others. None of these approaches would be nearly as effectively by itself, and even the specific ordering of the anti-spam engines is critical to reach this level of success.”
He concludes: “Beyond further increasing our accuracy, our goal now is have our Corporate MX-Defender evaluated by publications that research and review technology for enterprise applications.
OnlyMyEmail is a anti-spam service that does not require installation or maintenance of software on client’s systems and offers solutions for individuals, enterprises and Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
