IMS ExpertServices Announces Contribution to Habitat for Humanity Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief Fund

IMS ExpertServices announced they have made a significant contribution to Habitat for Humanity’s 2005 Hurricane Response Fund.

(PRWEB) December 16, 2005 -- Today, IMS ExpertServices announced they have made a significant contribution to Habitat for Humanity’s 2005 Hurricane Response Fund. In lieu of sending Christmas cards and client gifts management and staff chose to contribute those funds to Habitat for Humanity, Katrina Fund in the name of their friends, clients and colleagues.

“The U.S. Gulf Coast is our home. We work here, we live here, and we are committed to helping our neighbors in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama rebuilt their communities from this terrible disaster”, said Mike Wein, CEO and founder of IMS ExpertServices.

“We are confident that Habitat for Humanity is helping those who have lost so much and are striving to rebuild their lives and communities,” added Wein.

"This generous contribution comes at an important time for our Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts. We appreciate this important community gift from our friends at IMS Expert Services and we encourage others in the business community to respond to IMS’ philanthropic example," said Scott Umstattd, Corporate Services Coordinator for Habitat for Humanity International.

About the Habitat’s Hurricane Recovery Effort:

Habitat for Humanity has launched Operation Home Delivery, which involve a three-pronged effort:

1. Getting the hardest-hit Habitat affiliates in the affected areas back on their feet and prepared to build houses in their communities.
2. Serving as a catalyst for other organizations, corporations, foundations, governments and institutions to come together to talk about low-0income housing on a scale Habitat alone cannot accomplish.
3. Implementing a house-building project. In the initial phases, Habitat affiliates in other parts of the United States will “pre-build” housing components, packages them in a container and ship them to the Gulf Coast to be permanently set up when infrastructure is in place. Regular, long-term rebuilding will expand as time passes and the region redevelops.
