Ana Himelic, a graduate of the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, has joined the Klinedinst law firm in San Diego. Himelic is the newest attorney to join the growing San Diego law practice. Her legal experience includes working as a contract clerk with the Tucson branch of the U.S. Attorney's office, as well as working with defendants in the Pima County Public Defender's Office. Ana was the recipient of the Joseph M. Livermore Community Service Award in 2005, and also served as President of the Law Women's Association in law school.

Klinedinst PC is pleased to announce the addition of Ana Himelic to the firm's San Diego law office.

A graduate of Klinedinst's successful Summer Law Clerk program, Ms. Himelic first worked at the firm during 2004. After her summer work was complete, she returned to the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, earning her Juris Doctorate in 2005.

During law school, Ms. Himelic worked as a criminal law clerk with the Pima County Attorney's office, and a contract clerk for the U.S. Attorney's office in Tucson. She also had the opportunity to complete two clinics that provided real-world legal experience. Ana defended a client in a two-day DUI jury trial in a clinic run by the Pima County Public Defender's Office. In the Child Advocacy Clinic, Ms. Himelic handled over 15 cases, representing minors in dependency actions. She argued many motions during the clinic, and even represented one of her clients in a Dependency Bench Trial.

“Ana has more real-world experience than most associates out of law school,” noted John D. Klinedinst, CEO of the firm. "Ana's legal background, combined with her commitment to the community at large, are a tremendous asset. We are excited to have her join the San Diego legal team.”

The recipient of the Joseph M. Livermore Community Service Award in 2005, Ms. Himelic served as President of the Law Women's Association in law school. She also was honored as an elected delegate to the Student Bar Association, and helped launch the school's Juvenile Detention Teaching program. She was also invited to be a student member of the Morris K. Udall Inn of Court.

Klinedinst congratulates Ms. Himelic on her achievements, and welcomes her to the San Diego office. Learn more about her background at: http://www.klinedinstlaw.com/profiles/attorney/anahimelic/
