ORO AGRI announced today that PREV-AM, a new broad spectrum Fungicide-Insecticide, which increased yield on soybeans crops by 23 to 39% (infected by Asian-rust), has now also proven to increase yields on Peanuts (infected with white mold), up to 29%. (UGA)

When PREV-AM [ORO AGRI]was added to Tebuconazole (Folicur [Bayer]), the combination increased yield by 893 lbs per acre and had the lowest white mold count of all combinations tested.

Mark Russell, Director of Sales, stated that these results were consistent with the results that we have seen when PREV-AM was combined with other Fungicides and Insecticides on Soybean, Onions, Tomatoes, Squash, Blueberry, Beans and other crops. The benefit is that PREV-AM, not only performs well as a contact fungicide directly, it also enhances the performance of other fungicides. Additionally PREV-AM also provides contact control of a wide variety of insects such as aphids, whitefly, mite, thrips and more from egg to adult life stages.

Mark further stated: "The biggest challenge facing ORO AGRI, is educating the crop specialists on PREV-AM's unique new Mode of Action and how to best incorporate this broad Fungicide-Insecticide-Ovicide into an effective spray program. The recent released PREV-AM Questions and Answer and PREV-AM Surfactant Technical Sheet goes a long way in educating crop specialists on how to boost the effectiveness their spray recommendations by simply replacing their current wetting or surfactant adjuvants with PREV-AM, an EPA approved Fungicide-Insecticide."

Several recent Citrus studies from South Africa have also proven that the replacement of standard crop oils with PREV-AM improved mold, mite, thrip and scale results and had a lower incidence of phyto and fruit discoloration. More trials are on their way in the US and Europe and the initial responses have been positive.

According to Mark, PREV-AM has enjoyed a fast growing following in the US and foreign markets and has more than 150 independent studies to support the product.

PREV-AM is currently available from leading distribution/retail partners: ADVAN (USA+MEX), Agriliance (USA), Avello (RSA), Amagro S.P. (POL), Britz Fertilizer Inc. (USA), Efekto (RSA), Triangle/Cardinal (USA), Plant Protection Sciences (USA), UAP (USA and RSA), Certis de Mexico (MEX), MAPPAC (Thailand, S. Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam), Nufarm (ESP), Nexus (RSA), Plant Solutions (UK), Simplot (USA), SurfAgri (FR), Wilbur Ellis (USA) and other select companies.
