London, UK (PRWEB) December 20, 2005
Beginning January 1st 2006, currency professionals can verify all their currency issues online with DataVault. DataVault is a new proprietary on-line information source comprising an online catalogue of all the banknotes in circulation around the world, the second edition of the Directory of Currency Suppliers, archive copies of Currency News and a regular news update on new note issues. It is included within the annual subscription for Currency News and is a powerful tool for providing a range of additional and complementary information to the news and analysis provided in the newsletter each month.
Key features of DataVault include an online banknote database featuring all the world’s banknotes including over 4,000 banknotes from 180 countries and issuing authorities. This total includes all current notes as well as, for most countries, notes that are outmoded, withdrawn and/or worthless. Clear and detailed descriptions are provided for each note, along with images of the front and reverse (under normal and UV light) – with photographic enlargements of key security features.
The database is searchable by country and date of issue and there is an additional search facility for security and features such as threads, watermarks, intaglio, substrates, holograms or portrait subject. Image and keyword identifiers for more exotic banknotes are provided, and each country section includes details of domestic and foreign currency import and export requirements, as well as alternative currencies in use. The database is continuously updated to ensure the information is current and accurate, and all details are available in English, French, Spanish, Italian and German.
Also available at Currency News are the Directory of Currency Suppliers (second edition), which includes over 600 organisations searchable by different criteria, and all Currency News back issues complete up to three months of the latest issue. The package also includes regular news updates of new note issues and other industry developments. The site is secure, easy to navigate and available twenty-four hours a day.
DataVault will be available from January 1 2006 and is included within the annual subscription for Currency News. Each standard subscription will qualify for one user licence. Multiple subscriptions (for two, five or ten copies) will qualify for the corresponding number of user licences. Multiple subscribers can also purchase additional user licences for DataVault at the rate of £50 / €72.50 / $100 each. Interested organisations with multiple users or locations should contact Currency News for details and a quotation.
