White Christmas or Green Christmas?
Will the UK receive a White Christmas on the 25th December
(PRWEB) December 19, 2005 -- My name is Dr Richard Wild and I am the Weather Services Commercial Manager and Senior Meteorologist for WeatherNet Ltd. (www.weathernet.co.uk), and one of the Directors of TORRO (Tornado and Storm Research Organisation - Head of Heavy Snowfall and Blizzards Division).
I have recently completed a PhD thesis into heavy snowfalls across Great Britain (www.richardjwild.co.uk) and thought you might be interested with just over a week away from Christmas Day, in learning what the current prospects are for a White Christmas across your region.
Based on the current meteorological models this morning, the chances of your region seeing snow on Christmas Day is 0%. This is also the current situation for most districts of the UK, with the exception of N Scotland which is currently at 10%. The current weather forecast for your region on Christmas Day is dry, light and variable winds with sunny spells with average temperatures for late December. This weather forecast/press release will be updated every day until Christmas Eve as it is likely to change as confidence, at present, is only low at best.
If you would like further information concerning this weather forecast/press release or on any weather related stories that may occur at any point during the winter ahead, please call me directly on 0906 1100445. If you have trouble getting through on that telephone number because it is premium rate number, try 01202 411122 as an alternative.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards
Yours sincerely
Rich
