Record Number of Americans Expected To Attend World Cup 2006 in Germany

Excitement is building as World Cup 2006 in Germany gets closer and closer. The World Cup schedules have just been released by FIFA and American fans are now scrambling to book their travel arrangements and acquire hard-to-get match tickets to see Team USA and other favorites such as England, Brazil, Italy and Argentina play in the most watched and most attended sports event on the planet.

(PRWEB) December 22, 2005 -- Interest in attending World Cup 2006 in Germany has hit a feverish pitch ever since German Supermodel Heidi Klum hosted the final draw on December 9th in Leipzig. An astounding 350 million viewers watched on TV that evening as the thirty-two teams were placed in eight groups one-by-one and each team's first three matches became crystal clear.

With Team USA surprising everybody in the football world by reaching the quarter finals of the last World Cup, the Americans are taking to the beautiful game in droves. The Americans will be back for their fifth straight World Cup.

"US Travel Agents and Concierge's have been inquiring and booking our World Cup Packages and game tickets to this summer's World Cup," says Company President Nick Giammusso. "The VIPseats.com phone lines were absolutely jammed the day after the Final Draw. Would you believe the number one request from travel agents visiting our Luxury Travel Trade Show exhibit in NYC this past September was the World Cup in Germany- by a land slide."

There are many obstacles to arranging your travel and acquiring game tickets to the World Cup. Trying to book international airfare to multiple cities in a foreign country is difficult. Not to mention millions of fans trying to gain access to limited flights, hotel rooms and match tickets.

World Cup game tickets have a face-value price of $45 for Category 4 up to $750 for Category 1 seats to the Final. Game tickets are available in the secondary market starting at $250 per ticket and it’s anyones guess whether ticket prices will go up or down in the days leading up to the big games. The majority of games are already sold-out. Hotel rooms in Germany, particularly in those cities where the fan favorite teams such as Germany, England, Italy, Brazil, United States and Argentina will play, have long been sold-out.
