Bar the 'ICE' for Celebrities
Celebrities from televisions most popular past and present television programs bring Liverpool to a standstill for the opening of “ICE.”
(PRWEB) December 21, 2005 -- A host of stars from Hollyoaks, Brookside, Family Affairs, The Bill and several others, not to mention some of Liverpool’s up and coming sports stars of the future brought the traffic to a stop in Liverpool this weekend for the opening of “ICE” the newest celebrity co-owned bar in town.
It took a host of limousines and chauffeur driven cars to carry the celebrities to the opening night of the newest celebrity owned bar in the city. Co owned by Malcolm, father of Ex-Brookside character “Tin Head” the local businessman stood tall as celebrities from around the UK lined the bar that fed their alcoholic appetite with Champagne, spirits and some food non stop and without charge all night. The night was organised with a military style security force, which meant that celebrities could let their hair down as most did as they danced to the best of the 80’s, 90’s and the latest sounds.
Hordes of fans eager to get a glimpse of their favourite television characters lined the streets jostling for positions beside the paparazzi and the many security personnel hired to keep the red carpet clear for the arrival of the guests. Those that tried to sneak past the security failed miserably. Ice, which is on the outskirts of the city centre, now looks likely to be the haunt of many of television’s most popular faces when in Liverpool after the success of a pulsating opening night, which saw hotels in the city booked to capacity. As the celebrities left in the early hours many gave a thumbs up to the club, though looking a little worse for ware with all that free drink and dazzling lights.
