SMC's campaign to build awareness of the Estes Park Aerial Tramway, increase rider numbers for the 2005 summer season and celebrate the attraction's 50th anniversary led to television segments on Denver's WB2 News, 9News, and Colorado Getaways on CBS4 Denver, and a "Family Fridays" feature on ABC 7 – The Denver Channel. The campaign also garnered a front-page feature in the Loveland Daily Reporter-Herald, features in the Colorado Springs Gazette and the regular editions and vacation guides for the Estes Park Trail Gazette and Estes Park News, and space in AAA's Home and Away magazine.
Steve Barker, manager of the Estes Park Aerial Tramway, noted, "2005 was our best season in four years, and we had a lot more people from down valley (the Front Range) than we've seen in some time. The PR campaign definitely had an impact on our successful season."
