PicksPal Announces Weekly Prizes and a College Bowl Tournament

The free online sports picks game will now reward its weekly winners and tournament champions with prizes.

Mountain View, CA, (PRWEB) December 20, 2005 – PicksPal.com, the free online sports picks game, has added weekly prizes and a special prize for its upcoming College Bowl Tournament.

While PicksPal has been challenging players to play for pride and bragging rights since its launch in September, it will now be offering a prize to its weekly winner, as well as a grand prize to those who reach the coveted million-point mark. The weekly winner will get a widescreen portable DVD player and a plaque, while those who accumulate a million points will receive an iPod and a plaque.

The winner of PicksPal’s College Bowl Tournament will also get a prize. The College Bowl Tournament starts with the New Orleans Bowl tonight, and ends with the much anticipated Rose Bowl on January 4th between the USC Trojans and the Texas Longhorns. PicksPal will be tracking players’ scores on their College Football picks, and at the end of the tournament, the player with the highest cumulative point total will be crowned the first ever College Bowl Champ and be awarded an iPod and a trophy.

PicksPal will still remain completely free to sign up and play. Every week PicksPal players start with 1000 points which they can use to pick on games from College Football, Pro Football, College Basketball, Pro Basketball, Hockey and others. The player with the most points at the end of the week wins, and players who reach one million points are enshrined in PicksPal’s Millionaire Club. PicksPal also offers free leagues, 1-on-1 challenges, and trash-talk Smackboards.

PicksPal’s unique in-your-face attitude and points-based system has always made it fun to play, but with the addition of weekly prizes, the ante has been officially upped, since there’s a lot more at stake now than pride and egos. With the NFL playoffs and the College Basketball Tournament just around the corner, PicksPal has advised players to “stay tuned for our Super Bowl Contest and March Mania Contest. Good luck pickin'.”
