The Eastern Hills Sunrise Rotary Club awarded Paul Harris Fellowships on December 14, 2005, to Mrs. Mary Anne Cappellino and Dr. Joseph Margarone III to honor their contributions.

A Paul Harris Fellow is someone who contributes, or in whose name is contributed, $1,000.00 to the Rotary International Foundation. The Eastern Hills Sunrise Rotary Club donated $1,000.00 each for Mary Anne Cappellino and Dr. Joseph Margarone III to the Rotary International Foundation. The Paul Harris Fellows do not have to be Rotarians. This is one of the most meaningful ways that Rotary honors individuals.

The Eastern Hills Sunrise Rotary Club bestows the Paul Harris Fellow award to individuals in the community who have contributed to causes supported by the club. The club gives awards to Rotary members as well as non members.

“Mary Anne Cappellino and Dr. Joseph Margarone III contributed substantially to the success of our fund raising and community service projects in the past year,” said Scott Bylewski, president of the Eastern Hills Sunrise Rotary Club.

Mary Anne Cappellino is a wellness consultant, certified exercise specialist and personal trainer in Clarence Center, New York. Mrs. Capellino received her award for creating hand-painted Christmas and Holiday cards that the Rotary Club sells to raise funds for the causes it supports. This is the second year that Mrs. Capellino has produced cards for the Club’s increasingly successful fundraising efforts.

Dr. Joseph Margarone III is local oral surgeon and President of Suburban Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates PC in Williamsville, New York. Dr. Margarone received his award for his outstanding leadership of fund raising efforts on the Club’s behalf. Dr. Margarone is the Club’s Vocational Service director.
