HauteSpot Networks Provides Alternative For Vivato Customers

Following the announcement by Vivato Inc. that they were ceasing operations (see http://www.vivato.com) HauteSpot Networks Corporation seeks to offer customers with deployment plans built around Vivato an alternative wireless technology which will deliver comparable features.

San Luis Obispo, CA (PRWEB) December 22, 2005 -- In light of the recent announcement by Vivato Inc. that they will be ceasing operations as a going concern (see http://www.vivato.com), HauteSpot Networks Corporation seeks to assure Vivato customers that there are solutions that are just as capable and cost effective as Vivato to complete projects already underway.

“With the HauteSpot combination of low cost, feature rich, wireless routers and unique antenna technologies such as multipolarization, HauteSpot Networks can offer pervasive 802.11 wireless coverage today and 802.16 wireless coverage in the future for a fraction of the cost of competing solutions,” said Charlotte Chang, Director of Operations.

“Many Vivato customers have already contacted us regarding their open projects. They have large scale metropolitan and campus coverage requirements that they were hoping to meet with Vivato’s innovative technology. Now they are looking for ways to move forward with their projects, on schedule and on cost,” continued Chang.

HauteSpot Networks offers low cost, high feature wireless routers which can be deployed in a hierarchical tree or mesh design, and support the highest transmit gain that is legally possible, combined with outstanding receive sensitivity. When used in conjunction with multipolarized antenna technologies, ubiquitous wireless coverage of campuses, shopping malls, industrial parks, or cities becomes very practical.

HauteSpot systems include a complete software stack supporting a variety of routing, bridging and management functions, including bandwidth control/QoS support, dynamic frequency selection, WDS transparent bridging (and mesh), alignment mode, and more.

The modular design of the HauteSpot Networks’ solutions allows the products to be easily upgraded from current technologies such as 802.11 to emerging technologies such as 802.16 (WiMax), protecting customer investment, or even integrated for use with cellular technologies such as EVDO.

"HauteSpot Networks’ products offer ISPs, carriers, enterprises and government entities tremendous value," said Bob Ehlers, president. "Our routers are completely flexible, and have features which are not even available on high end proprietary equipment. When combined with low cost client equipment like the EUB-362 USB or NL-2611CB Plus PCMCIA adapters, operators have the most efficient economic model available for delivering high quality, managed, unlicensed wireless broadband."

“We hope that Vivato customers will consider our solutions as viable substitutes to the technology they were planning on using,” concluded Ehlers. “We think they will be pleasantly surprised.”
