The magazine’s new online and print resource, What’s In Store, will alert garden center retailers in advance about what hot new plants and gardening products Garden Design magazine plans to feature in their editorial content. The resource is being powered by Green Industry Yellow Pages, who also powers Garden Design magazine’s online product directory.

Miller says that with advanced warning, garden center buyers can put in orders early enough to ensure that the “hot-plants and products” are on their shelves when consumers come in looking for them.
The What’s In Store resource will be available online, and in a one page section included in each issue of the magazine.
“Both the print and online resources will be of value,” says Miller. But the online resource also makes it easy for garden centers to add their business listing to Garden Design magazine’s searchable, interactive directory, which is also powered by Green Industry Yellow Pages.
“With the What’s In Store resource, and Garden Design’s interactive directory in place, there is a closed loop between garden vendors and home gardeners,” says Miller.
Home gardeners can search Garden Design’s interactive directory for local retailers that offer the plants and products mentioned in the magazine, and garden centers will be better prepared for the plants and products.
