Pure Air Control Services Once Again Named Among Florida’s Top 100

We are proud of our firm’s efforts as a minority-owned business, and to be among this elite group of companies and individuals

For the second year in a row, DiversityBusiness.com, the nation’s leading multicultural business-to-business online portal which links large organizational buyers to multicultural product and service businesses, has named Pure Air Control Services as one of the top 100 diversity-owned businesses in Florida. Pure Air Control Services, a SBA federal 8(a) certified minority business enterprise (MBE), was also lauded in 2004 with a listing in the Div100, which has been designed to recognize the economic power of multicultural businesses and to bring together major corporations, government agencies and colleges/universities to do business with multicultural and women-owned companies.

Pure Air Control Services, in business for over 20 years, is the largest indoor environmental consulting/laboratory/remediation company in Florida and one of the largest IEQ specialty firms in the U.S. The firm was also recently awarded a GSA contract, providing comprehensive IEQ services directly to federal government agencies. “We are proud of our firm’s efforts as a minority-owned business, and to be among this elite group of companies and individuals,” said Alan Wozniak, President and CEO of Pure Air Control Services.

The Div500

This year, DiversityBusiness.com announced the Div500, the 6th annual listing that represents the nation’s top 500 diversity-owned businesses in the U.S. in such sectors as technology, manufacturing, food service and professional services, and ranging in revenue size from $20 million to over $2 billion. These businesses, owned and operated by women, Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Native Americans and other minority groups, represent the nation’s top multicultural earners and challenge the notion that diversity owned businesses are small or insignificant.

“The Div500 companies are the heroes of diversity-owned business in America,” said Kenton Clarke, CEO of Computer Consulting Associates International, the company which built DiversityBusiness.com. “While Fortune Magazine lists the best companies for minorities to work for, the Div500 lists the top businesses owned by minorities. These are the people that have conquered the hurdles and made the sacrifices, building and strengthening their communities, providing jobs and helping to keep the fabric of the U.S. economy together.”

The top companies from this year’s Div500 listing will be honored at a special awards ceremony at DiversityBusiness.com’s 6th Annual Multicultural Business Conference, being held March 29-31, 2006 at the MGM Mirage in Las Vegas Nevada.

“Diversity owned businesses contribute over $1.4 trillion in sales to the U.S. economy each year,”said Clarke. “It is no longer just ‘the right thing’ to do business with diversity suppliers. Because of recent economic and demographic trends, major corporations are realizing that having a diverse supplier base positively impacts their business revenue from this sector of buyers.”
