Restaurant.com (http://www.Restaurant.com) has added the 7,000th restaurant to the company’s online directory of independent eating establishments. The company has also launched a new gift center that makes purchasing and giving dining certificates a simple, cost-friendly and thoughtful endeavor.
Restaurant.com puts diners in touch with a variety of restaurants nationwide for dining information and certificates that offer as much as 60-percent savings on dining bills. The company continues adding eateries, bistros, cafes and other restaurant types to a national online network at a rate of 200 to 300 businesses every month.
The latest addition to the Restaurant.com network, Panevino Ristorante based in Las Vegas, offers authentic and traditional Italian cuisine served with innovative flavors and unique presentations for a diverse customer base.
“We appeal to the independent restaurant owner by providing marketing services, visibility, customer introductions and feedback they might not otherwise have access to,” said Cary Chessick, CEO of Restaurant.com. “And word continues to spread among consumers looking for a reliable way to access online dining information, experiences and value—particularly during the holiday season.”
Last-Minute Gift Giving
The new Restaurant.com gift center allows visitors to “give” and “redeem” Restaurant.com dining certificates that offer $25 to $200 in value. For gift givers, each $25 dining certificate costs $10 or less. Promotional codes and limited-time discounts can also be applied to further reduce the total purchase price of certificates. After making a transaction, Restaurant.com gift certificates can be personalized, tailored and addressed to the recipient, and either printed out or sent via email.
Restaurant.com gift certificates only display the selected retail value of the dining certificate, not the purchase price. Entering a 10-digit code at the redemption-only section of the Web site activates the Restaurant.com gift certificates. Gift certificate recipients follow intuitive search instructions to find restaurants according to location and nearly 60 different cuisine options including American, Mexican, Italian, Steak, Seafood and others.
Selecting Dining Certificates
Every restaurant in the directory features a Web page offering personalized descriptions of cuisine and menu items, as well as information about pricing, locale, hours of operation, mission, history, décor and specific terms and conditions. Many sites also provide internal and external photos of restaurants including 360-degree views of the inside.
After choosing a restaurant, gift recipients receive simple instructions to print and present Restaurant.com dining certificates that offer significant savings and value. Dining certificates are presented upon arrival at the restaurant and honored on-site.
“Our goals are simple: to help independent restaurant owners increase their number of customers and market their businesses better, while providing a place where diners can go to find great deals at high-quality restaurants,” said Cary Chessick, CEO of Restaurant.com. “We’re excited to add Panevino Ristorante as restaurant no. 7,000 and to continue our aggressive growth by learning, evaluating and adapting to the needs of our restaurants and diners.”
From now until Dec. 31, 2005 diners and gift givers can log onto Restaurant.com and enter code 92787 during check out to receive a 50-percent discount on all dining certificate purchases.
