Computer Newbies Self Publishing E-books Fact or Fiction?

Houston, Texas. Writers: Opportunity is knocking are you ready? Software industry rewrites the rule book, levels the playing field and redirects the history of electronic publishing.

Houston, Texas (PRWEB) December 25, 2005 -- Writers: Opportunity is knocking are you ready? Software industry rewrites the rule book, levels the playing field and redirects the history of electronic publishing.

Microsoft's Vice President for Technical Development, Dick Brass, was once quoted as saying,"by the year 2020 ninety percent of everything we read will be in electronic form"

The current trend certainly does support this philosophy. Undoubtedly, we are well into the "information age" and the Internet makes it easy to satisfy the most voracious appetite for information. People are hungry for solutions; they crave information and are willing to pay for it. E-books have become the perfect way to feed this growing thirst for knowledge. With on demand availability and easy access, they are the perfect information vehicle.

Pew Internet and American Life Project, a non-profit research center studying the social effects of the Internet on Americans, ran a national phone survey in 2003. They discovered that more than 53 million Americans have contributed to the explosion of content available online, and proved that the old maxim is true: Anyone can be a publisher on the Web, and many Internet users are publishers in one form or another.

So what about the technically challenged? There are many talented people out there, but until now the logistics for publishing a professional e-book would discourage all but the most determined and non techno-phobic.

Consider this, in order to publish an e-book, the aspiring digital author has to become proficient in several complicated programs, then navigate the maze of applications to get the book up on the Web, all at considerable cost.

Not many people have the time, patience or funds to go through this very frustrating process.

Joe Clayton, CEO of Creative Software has addressed all of these concerns admirably with his new multimedia digital authoring software, DeadEasy E-book Maker (http://snipurl.com/kzci)

In his words, "DeadEasy opens the door of opportunity to ANYONE who chooses to grab the chance to carve out their own publishing business and compete on a level playing field with the big guys."

He has eliminated the need for several software applications to produce high quality text and audio, in fact DeadEasy surpasses the quality of many e-book creation software applications on the market today.

The biggest advantage however, is that this software has removed the steep learning curve and frustrating trial and error approach so that truly anyone can master this program and produce saleable quality digital products. He has even provided video tutorials with the program and free hosting for the finished product in his "Ebook Mall."

Clearly this product is going to revolutionize the electronic publishing industry. To quote Dick Brass again, "New voices are going to emerge; no books will go out of print. this will be the golden age of literature."

Possibilities abound from ebooks to digital photo albums to teaching aids; computer newbies self publishing their own ebooks is most definitely a fact!
