e-Book Publisher Releases Timeless Collection of Poetry

“Infinity”, one man’s collection of insightful, soulful, and poignant poetry, will be available in digital format on January 1, 2006 from DPP Press.

Palm Springs, CA (PRWEB) December 24, 2005 -- DPP Press (www.dpppress.com) is pleased to announce that it will release a digital version of author Alton Sears’ “Infinity” (copyright 2004). The new ebook version will be available for purchase on January 1, 2006, at the DPP Store, www.dppstore.com.

“Infinity” is a seamless collection of short poems that, individually and collectively, offer wisdom, comfort, and new perspectives on life. Written from the viewpoint of its author, a seventy-three year-old man who has experienced hardship, love, and joy on so many levels, this ebook will appeal to a wide range audience because it speaks to the ageless spirit of the human heart.

“There’s a little gem of insight in every poem in this book,” says Genene Miller Coté, CEO of DigitalPulp Publishing. “It’s a wonderful tome for the mind, soul, and heart in this day and age.”

“The public has been very receptive [to my work,”says Sears. One reader told the author, “I have never read a book where the author let himself be so vulnerable…I have been using it as part of my daily meditation. ”

Alton Sears was born in New Orleans, LA. He joined the Air Force at the age of nineteen. During his tour he became addicted to heroin and following his discharge, he became a skid-row wino. After turning his life around at the age of twenty-seven, he began teaching himself to read. Encouraged by the Dean of Students at Cal-State Los Angeles, Alton took remedial English at Santa Monica City College and then transferred to Cal-State, where he met an instructor who taught him to write. One year later, in 1969, he published a book of poetry entitled Something of Feeling. Later, Alton became a Certified Addictions Counselor and was employed with the United States Navy in that capacity until he retired in January of 1997. Throughout and currently, Alton has continued to write. He has over fifteen books of poetry in traditional print, and currently resides in Oceanside, CA.

Established in 2005, DigitalPulp Press (www.dpppress.com) was created to help independent publishers distribute literature and fiction for the digital age. DPP creates books for all popular digital formats: PDAs (Pocket PC/Palm), MP3 players, e-book readers, cell phones and computers.
