rapidformXO Verifier Receives Ten Best New Technologies of 2005 Award

INUS Technology has received the Ten Best New Technologies of 2005 award from the Korean Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy. The award was for rapidformXO Verifier, a powerful tool developed by INUS Technology to execute automated and repeatable in-line inspection of 3D scan data.

Seoul, South Korea (PRWEB) December 28, 2005 -- INUS Technology has been recognized by the Korean Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy (MOCIE) for creating one of the “Ten Best New Technologies of 2005” for its rapidformXO Verifier (XOV) quality inspection software. XOV is the first software to offer automatic extraction of product manufacturing information from 3D scan data.

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy has long monitored the industries vital to the economic advancement of Korea. INUS Technology joins a select group of nine other globally respected companies, including LG Electronics (for their High Definition DVR technology) and Samsung Electronics (for their 50nm 16 Gbit NAND Flash Memory), which have also received this award for their commitment to innovation and quality in their respective industries. The ministry’s award exemplifies INUS Technology’s technological leadership in the 3D scanning software market.

The award program judges specified four key advantages found only in XOV:

  • It is the world’s first process oriented software for point cloud based inspection
  • The algorithms underlying the software have been certified as the highest accuracy by Germany’s PTB metrology authority, and have been further tested by America’s NIST and Britain’s NPL
  • It is 100% compliant with ANSI/ASME Y14.5B geometric dimensioning and tolerancing standards
  • Because of its completely new architecture, it offers faster processing of larger 3D scan data sets than any other software

A rigorous selection process determined which products met the criteria to be named one of 2005’s Best New Technologies. The selection committee analyzed the economic success and technological importance of all technologies submitted for consideration by conducting a series of screening steps that included a written submission for consideration, an on-site examination of the company and an oral testing process. Members of the selection committee included experts from the academic and manufacturing arenas. The pool of applicants for the award was whittled down from over seventy companies to the ten technologies that were ultimately awarded by MOCIE.

“Korean has rapidly become one of the world’s most technologically advanced nations in the world” said Heebeom Lee, Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy. “Companies around the world now recognize Korea as a hub for technological advancement, and the work done by INUS Technology has greatly contributed to this environment. With the help of the companies awarded by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, we will continue to make our mark in the global economic and technological arenas.”

INUS Technology continues to develop the most powerful and accurate scan data processing software through rigorous testing by respected agencies throughout the world. rapidform2006 and rapidformXO have both received certifications for their accuracy by the American NIST, German PTB and British NPL.
