NPC Amateur Champion Carla Salotti Wins IFBB Pro Card
(PRWEB) December 26, 2005 -- The 2005 bodybuilding season has produced a Cinderella ending for Carla Salotti. At only 4' 11" Salotti (www.CarlaSalotti.com) put together a totally shredded and symmetric package at the 2005 NPC Nationals and was awarded first place in the lightweight class and an IFBB pro card.
Her quest began in 1999 in Tampa Florida with a win and overall championship title at the Tampa Bay Classic. From there the "Mighty Lightweight" continued her attack on the NPC title trail by capturing the 2000 Jr USA, the 2001 Team Universe and the 2004 Masters Nationals. Salotti, now 43, brought it all together in 2005 in Atlanta.
Salotti's trainer, Tim Gardner of Team BodyTech (www.teambodytech.com), commented "Yes, we have a new IFBB PRO, Ms. Carla Salotti, and what a professional she is. In every aspect of her life, she is a Champion! Loyal, genuine, sincere, grounded... she will go far with this newly acclaimed accolade. We at BODY*TECH are honored to be a part of her journey, storybook it was!" Salotti joins Gardner's list of recent IFBB Pro's that includes Lisa Reed, Marcus Haley, and Nate Wonsley. Salotti said after the contest "They called me and Jaimie Troxel out a second time to compare us and I know that if it weren't for the close attention that Tim paid in my carb up she could have possibly overtaken me. Earning my pro card was nothing I ever really thought I could achieve."
The bodybuilding world is now ready to see what she will bring next. A social worker from Massachusetts, Salotti will begin her pro career with a TV reality show "Road to the Pros", that recently signed her. "I can't wait for my pro debut!" said Carla.
With heart and determination like that...who needs a glass slipper?
