The International Sport Horse Registry and the Oldenburg N.A. announced that MarKim Farms’ photo of their champion colt Reagan “proudly represents all high score and premium foals – born in America.”
Carleton, MI (PRWEB) December 28, 2005 -- The International Sport Horse Registry and the Oldenburg N.A. announced that MarKim Farms’ photo of their champion colt Reagan “proudly represents all high score and premium foals – born in America.”
Reagan’s photo by John Sexton won third place in the annual photo contest out of hundreds of pictures submitted. The selection process was described as being very difficult but in the end the decision and awards were made. The awards were published in the ISR-Oldenburg N.A, Newsletter Issue No. 4, 2005.
The award winning picture of Reagan and Kim Ennett, breeder of Reagan, was taken after he was awarded the High Point Championship, by Ekkehard Brysch, Chief Executive Director, ISR/Oldenburg NA. This was an impressive win in view of the field of outstanding foals presented for ISR/Oldenburg NA inspection and approval.
Reagan achieved the highest score and was awarded a Premium 8.4. This is a very significant score in view of the fact that in 2004 some 513 foals in North America were presented for inspection throughout North America. Only 6% were awarded 8.4 or higher.
Sired by Riverman and out of MarKim’s ISR/Oldenburg mare Liaisonne, Reagan was born in May 2005. His conformation foretells a star studded future in the footsteps of MarKim Farms’ previous National ISR/Oldenburg NA Champions: Impromptu and Wunderstern. Impromptu was also the “2003 USDF Reserve Grand Champion Horse of the Year, Sport Horse Colt”.
Liaisonne* now has her third Premium Foal. This achievement qualifed her for an “Oldenburg Mare Star Award for Quality of Foals”. Liaisonne’s sire is the world famous Frohwind*****, a five star ISR/Oldenburg NA stallion. Bloodlines certainly make the difference.
MarKim Farms is owned by Kim and Mark Ennett.. On winning the championship Kim Ennett stated that, “This win, followed by the 2005 photo award, over such a wonderful group of top flight foals, further strengthens our resolve to breed only top of the line world class premium foals.”
MarKim Farms recently announced the acquisition of their new imported GOV mare Graziella (Rubinstein I/Furioso II). Graziella is the product of the highest level of German champion bloodlines. Her sire is the legendary Rubinstein I and her dam is the State Premium (SPS) Glaeddis (by Furioso II).
Kim Ennett also stated that “Graziella is the result of our global search for a world class foundation mare for our breeding program. She will join our champion producing Oldenburg NA Star Mare Liaisonne (Frohwind*****). We are pleased that both mares have each produced 3 premium foals. Both mares will be bred to only the best and most highly sought after stallion bloodlines. Proven combination bloodlines plays a major role in success. We are committed to improving the breed.” Graziella is currently in foal to Caruso. More on Graziella can be found on: http://www.emediawire.com/releases/2005/9/prweb281245.htm
