Lauricella has blended her professional skills as a freelance graphic designer -- most notably for Sesame Workshop, the parent organization of Sesame Street and other children's programming -- with her practical experience as a mother of two to create a unique and stylish collection of designs for the whole family.

Lauricella has blended her professional skills as a freelance graphic designer -- most notably for Sesame Workshop, the parent organization of Sesame Street and other children's programming -- with her practical experience as a mother of two to create a unique and stylish collection of designs for the whole family.

According to Ms. Lauricella, Lollicakes started "Innocently enough" when she designed an "I'm a big sister T-shirt" to help her daughter, Josephine, adjust to the imminent arrival of a second child. Unexpectedly, requests for similar and new designs began coming in from "family, friends, neighbors, and people who stopped us on the street!"

Taking her cue from this response, Lauricella created Lollicakes and designed a line of fun and funky apparel, cards and gifts for infants, toddlers and adults. Lollicakes has partnered with Cafepress.com to provide production and fulfillment services.

"I really have fun creating these designs," says Lauricella, "they flow naturally from my sensibilities of trying to balance the practical necessities of infant, toddler, and 'mommy' clothes with a funky aesthetic."
