Baby Supermall, a Internet retailer of baby products, announced the launch of a new comparison tool for crib bedding and nursery decor shoppers. Baby Supermall’s new tool will enable visitors to its site to view side-by-side comparisons of the characteristics of the over 240 nursery bedding and accessories collections that they carry. This new development is consistent with Baby Supermall’s mission to be more than just a place to buy crib bedding – but a source of information that enables Mom to research and evaluate all of her options for decorating the nursery.

Internet retailers of crib bedding have historically been little more than online catalogs of available product being sold at discounted prices. Their marketing strategy was focused on attracting visitors after they had already decided on the crib bedding collection they were interested in, and selling it to them at a lower price than available at traditional brick-and-mortar retailers. Simply displaying manufacturer-supplied images of the crib bedding, little effort was made to help undecided shoppers research different nursery décor ideas. Additionally, Baby Supermall has committed over one million dollars to crib bedding inventory, enabling customers to order most products with the expectation of immediate delivery.

The side-by-side comparisons is one more tool to help shoppers find what’s right for them. They can view, on one page, the important characteristics of the crib bedding collections they choose: price; what items are included in the crib set; details concerning the fabrics used; a summary of available nursery décor accessories; and care instructions.
