ProjectCanada.org is the newest promotion effort from Off the Grid Pictures to spread the word about their exciting new film, Project Canada. The website features an often-updated blog that chronicles the development of the feature-length documentary. The production crew will be able to post news, photos, and even video clips as they journey across Canada during the summer of 2006.
Johnathan McFarlane, Executive Producer of Project Canada, explains.
“This is going to be an interactive effort. People following the progress of the crew on the blog will be able to post an entry or send an email and tell the crew, ‘do this,’ or ‘I’d like to see that’ and we’ll be able to provide that for them. We’re excited to get people involved in the creative process of this film.”
In Project Canada, the audience will follow four young Americans in a coast-to-coast journey across Canada as they attempt to discover the heart and soul of the second largest country in the world. ProjectCanada.org is a great resource for anyone seeking more details about the concepts and goals behind the film.
The new website also serves another purpose.
“Being a new filmmaker, it can be challenging to get your ideas out there. I think ProjectCanada.org will help give Project Canada more legitimacy with a permanent presence on the web.”
ProjectCanada.org is the first in a series of promotions from Off the Grid Pictures to spread the word about their first entrance into the documentary film world. Within the next six months OGP will be launching email and street campaigns, as well as a production launch party.
