ORLANDO, FL (PRWEB) February 10, 2005 -- Magna Medical Services, Inc. announced today that an agreement has been reached with the State of Floridas Eighteenth Judicial Circuit Court to establish a drug screen and collection facility at the Brevard County Circuit Court House in Viera, Florida. The service will be made available to all cases, but primarily for court dependency cases.

This is a great step in helping Judges handle case loads” says Urainua Smith Spokesperson for Magna Medical Services, Inc. We will be able to immediately test individuals thus eliminating a need for additional hearings to review results.”

In 2004, Brevard County was the focus of a pilot project initiated by the Department of Children and Families (DCF-District 7) and affiliated Magna Medical Screening Services for the performance of drug tests. The clients were primarily parents under suspicion of abuse and neglect. According to a preliminary report by Magna Medical Screening Services, drug tests performed in Brevard County scored the highest number of positives results than any of the four counties involved in the pilot. From the pilot, Marijuana (THC) and Cocaine (COC) were the two leading drugs that typically came up as positive in tests results for Brevard County” says Smith. The pilot project covered the counties of Osceola, Orange, Seminole, and Brevard.

A good number of dependency cases involve drug use” says Chief Circuit Court Judge James E. C. Perry” It seems fitting that such a service should be made available in the Brevard County Viera Courthouse.”

The initial project allows for Magna Medical Services to establish an on-site part time drug screener. All lawyers, state agencies, and individuals associated with the courthouse will have access to the service.

Magna Medical Services Inc. is an on-site drug testing service with headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada and regional offices located in Longwood, Florida and Bridgeport Connecticut. Magna Medical Services Inc. has experienced drug testers located and administers five-panel and ten-panel tests, oral fluid tests, and hair drug as well as steroid screening and testing services. In addition, Magna Medical offers addiction awareness training, one hour site arrival guarantee, and double screen lab confirmations to meet all drug testing needs. Magna Medical Services adheres to all State of Florida and U.S. Federal Government Drug Screening requirements.
