Members of the Colorado based Golden Resource started the Golden Film Festival for Education, Arts and Theatre (GREAT), in 2003. The Golden Film Festival takes place at the Colorado School of Mines, in Golden, Colorado.

“It’s truly an honor to be included in the Golden Film Festival,” says Augustin. “Every year independent film is becoming more ‘dependent’ on distribution controlled by major studios.”

“Anthem” is a film that explores the fundamental question, “What is an American?” Anthem presents a personal view of how American’s see themselves, and how a single comment, “I’m moving to France,” can come to stand for the greater dream of acceptance and self-worth.

According to Susan Adkins of Adkins and Associates, “Anthem has to be one of the most unbiased, fair, and interesting assessments of the American people and the American constitution I’ve seen or heard.”

“Anthem” was filmed in College Station and McKinney, Texas as well as Paris and Normandy, France. “I was looking for a fusion of technology with the ‘roots’ of independent film.” says the McKinney, Texas, based filmmaker. “A simple production that entertains a wide audience.”

In recognition of “Anthem’s” selection, The Good Fight - Digital Motion Pictures, Augustin’s production company is offering a 10% discount on any Anthem DVD purchased in February. “Just go to our Video Shop (http://www.customflix.com/206552) and use the code XT43FFPE,” says Augustin, “It’s a great way to introduce our films.”
