Small Town Poker Tour Announces London, United Kingdom Press Conference

The Small Town Poker Tour the worlds first charity poker tour will hold conference at the Park Inn Heathrow, London, United Kingdom

(PRWEB) February 23, 2005 -- The Small Town Poker Tour, the world first Charity poker tour will hold a press conference Thursday February 24,1 PM at the Park Inn Heathrow, London, United Kingdom. The Host and Executive Producer of the Tour and television show Mark Fracalossi will be on hand to answer questions about the tour.

The Small Town Poker Tour will tour the EU starting late spring 2005 in search of the number amateur poker player in the EU, a USA version will tour all 50 United States.

The Tour will make stops in the United Kingdom, Iceland, Ireland, Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, France, Spain, Sweden, Italy and Germany. The Tour will be filmed for television.

"We want to make this the finest traveling fund raiser in the world," Fracalossi said.

The show will add a new grass roots look to the worlds fastest growing card game Texas Hold'em. The Poker Show will be different from the rest, "We put more on the people aspect and feature unique locations.

Any local charities are urged to contact the tour. The times and dates of the stop will be announced soon. "Our Team will be visiting Europe the next few weeks, looking at a few sites and meeting with local charities and officials," Fracalossi said.

"We are going to take poker back to where it all started," Fracalossi said. "Everyone views the shows now with their high stakes, and flashy sets, but the roots of Poker games can be found in every small town in the world." You can nominate a town by visiting www.smalltownpokertour.com. The Tour donates 100% of the money to charity. The tour works with local charities. When you sign up to play, you pick a charity to play for, and the top three finishers charities are paid. The top three players are that countries Small Town Poker Tour Champs.

The next few months the tour will travel the East Coast of America before hitting the mid west in summer.

So don't be surprised if you see someone who looks like the grandmother next door or the guy who bags items at your local store at the final table. "Our goal is to make this a fund raising machine for the towns we visit."
