D.F. Cole To Pencil The Comic Book "Innocent" For King Tractor Press

Artist D.F. Cole joins the King Tractor Press' team for the "Innocent" comic book.

(PRWEB) February 25, 2005 -- King Tractor Press announced that D.F. Cole has signed on to pencil the "Innocent" comic book. With a style that has been compared to Jim Lee, D.F. Cole was thought to be a perfect fit for the project.

"Innocent" is based on the screenplay by Shawn Granger. He played a big part in D.F. Cole being picked for the title. "I'm very excited that D.F. Cole joined the team. I think it's important for the writer and artist to work well together," Shawn explained. "It's not just our personalities that must mesh, but my story with his art. D.F.'s style fit "Innocent" perfectly. When I saw his renderings of the main characters I knew he completely understood what I was trying to get across."

"You get the feeling that there is a deep underlying plot in "Innocent" that teases the readers and keeps them riveted and entertained with the story thus far," D.F. Cole said. "Those are the types of comics I like reading, you leave all the complex and overbearing detail on the back end while giving the fans just enough coolness to allow them to fall in love with the character from the very start."

"It [Innocent] is going to be a comic that its readers will neither get tired of looking at nor reading because the dialogue gets straight to the point and doesn't languish on page after page," D.F. Cole said.

Based on religious text that until recently remained hidden or lost, "Innocent" is about the battle between good and evil here on earth. The story reads more like "Batman" than "Passion", even though many of the characters are taken from Jewish and Christian bibles or writings that were purposely removed and hidden. "Sometimes you don't have to completely make up a story with great action, cool characters, and a terrific plot," Shawn said. "All of my writing is based on things I've seen around me. Most of the great classic stories are at least influenced by truth, and that bit of truth is what I think makes them great."

King Tractor Press is also releasing "Family Bones" the comic book based on the true story of the elderly Copeland's serial murder case.
