New Requirements for 941 Federal Form
New registration requirements for anyone programming to the 941 federal form.
Grand Rapids, MI (PRWEB) February 28, 2005 -- Nelco, a privately owned forms and compliance company announces new regulations by the IRS. While working as a National Association of Computerized Tax Processors (NACTP) member with the IRS it has been decided that the Form 941 and 941 Schedule B will have a new computer-friendly design. Specifically, the IRS is requiring software developers that are printing data on Form 941 to put a vendor ID in row 4, columns 58-61. This feature will enable the IRS to track the software developer as opposed to the end-user, in case of any processing of data issues.
In order to ensure a universal coding system, the IRS has determined it will only use the codes that are issued by the NACTP. The codes are four digits and can be obtained by going to http://www.nactp.org and click on the Vendor ID codes button located on the home page. You do not need to be a member of the NACTP in order to obtain a code.
The new 941 can be obtained in electronic or paper version from Nelco. We have worked closely with the IRS in order to ensure that our forms and electronic forms programming meets the needs of our business partners.
