Even When at War, Soldiers Retain their Entrepreneurial Spirit

A Soldier stationed at Ft. Polk, LA launches a website service (www.8x10foto.com) that prints 8 inch by 10 inch digital photos. With an idea, plan and an entrepreneurial vision, 1st LT Lieutenant Kimmel, built his website after a few months of slow progress. He is a photographer in his spare time and has purchased digital photo processing equipment of the past couple of years. Having this equipment on hand sparked his idea for a business.

(PRWEB) March 1, 2005 -- Soldiers have been fighting an intense global war on terrorism, but this doesn't stop their entrepreneurial minds from working. One soldier has been putting his mind to work in order to provide an online digital photo processing service. His goal is to build a business that will fulfil his entrepreneurial dreams when gets out of the military.

First Lieutenant Kimmel, who is originally from Cadillac Michigan, has had an interest in building websites and photography for a number of years. It wasn't until after his commissioning into the Army that he started getting interesting in starting his interests together to form an online digital photo processing website. He says "It is not easy building a website but once you finish one and it works properly, it feels like such a great achievement. The website (http://www.8x10foto.com) works and customers are actually using the service." Lieutenant Kimmel got the idea to offer such a service after his wedding photos cost nearly $3000. He says "Digital cameras have almost overtaken the days of the 35mm camera. With the right equipment, digital photo files can be converted into photographs that are even better than 35mm."

On his website, he offers customers their choice of digital photo prints or digital photo prints in a seamless hardwood picture frame. He says those who try his service won't be disappointed. His wife is his partner who keeps the operation going when he is absent.
