Excellence in Construction is Awarded for Work on Miami Childrens Museum

Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) March 5, 2005 -- Sparks Exhibits & Environments, a leading provider of custom environments, has recently been awarded the ‘Excellence in Construction award by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Association. Winners were announced Monday, February 21st at ABCs National Convention held in Orlando, Fla.

ABC's Awards of Excellence Program is the premier competition within the construction industry which recognizes outstanding construction projects across the nation in 46 categories. Nominated by B&B Interiors, Sparks was recognized for work on the Miami Childrens Museum, winning the Institutional Project Under $5 Million" category.

Awards were judged by a cross section of building and contracting industry professionals, including owners, architects and other industry leaders. Judges base their decision on a wide range of criteria with safety being the leading element. Sparks work on the Miami Childrens Museum included more than a hundred interactive exhibits where quality, durability, dependability and safety were the most crucial elements driving design and construction. The 55,600-square-foot facility includes 12 galleries, classrooms, parent/teacher resource center, educational gift shop, 200-seat auditorium and dining area which opened to the public in September 2003.
