Lok Technology Announces Immediate Link Controller Availability

AIRlok upgrade increases number of load balanced uplinks, adds multi-carrier diversity, and enables redundant high availability configurations. Lok Technology, the industrys leading provider of Integrated Link Management appliances for Wireless Internet Service Providers, today announced immediate availability of AIRlok Link Controller. The Link Controller enables a provider to dynamically increase the number of uplink / down link connections to the Internet in order to increase the available bandwidth. It also enhances the providers ability to maintain service levels (SLAs) by providing alternate routing connections to multiple carriers through a single AIRlok. Prior to introducing the Link Controller, service providers had to purchase costly load balancing equipment or create multiple infrastructure stacks when adding bandwidth or implementing route diversity to their service delivery infrastructure.

San Jose, CA (PRWEB) March 17, 2005 -- Lok Technology, the industrys leading provider of Integrated Link Management appliances for Wireless Internet Service Providers, today announced immediate availability of AIRlok Link Controller.

With a WISP its all about getting a link to the customer. Our providers purchase bandwidth or Internet links" from wholesalers and with an AIRlok they provide broadband access with a link delivery system (radios, antenna, amplifiers, reflectors, etc.) to their end-user customers", says Keenan Klinger, Lok Technologys President. Before introducing Link Controller, WISPs faced a very complex and expensive process to add bandwidth, diversity and redundancy. With Link Control our customers can purchase and distribute bandwidth they need today, add diversity and increase availability without fear of expensive, complex or disruptive upgrades."

This is incredible," says Terry Peck, President and CEO of Digital Sail, a Marathon Florida provider of Internet and voice services to residential and business customers in South Florida. When we upgraded to include the Link Controller we were able to remove 5 firewalls and a very expensive load balancer from our service delivery infrastructure. Now we have one device, one networked managed console and one maintenance bill."

The Link Controller is available on the AIRlok as a factory or field upgrade. With the Link Controller customers can have a total of 3 I/O ports on the 300 series and 7 I/O ports on the 500 series.

Please visit Lok Technology at CTIA this week in New Orleans in booth 6956.
