The Baltimore Improv Group (BIG) is a 501(3)(c) non-profit group dedicated to advancing the art of improvisational theater in the greater Baltimore area through public performances and classes. They were most recently featured in the Baltimore Sun's "Live" section, and the March issue of the Urbanite "Have You Heard" section.
(PRWEB) March 19, 2005 -- For those of you new to the rhelm of Comedy Improv it means there is no script. The actors create characters, locations, actions, and dialog based entirely on audience suggestions. BIG's mainstage troupe,"Few Bricks Shy", is an ensemble comedy troupe performing the short-form style of improv, incorporating short scenes and games based on suggestions solicited from the audience throughout the show. The format is similar to the popular TV show "Whose Line Is It, Anyway?".
BIG's first long form troupe, It's Not Me, It's You, is a two person improvised show that examines the highs and lows of contemporary dating and desperation. The actors portray two characters based on audience suggestions who are in an on-again, off-again relationship. The performance intersperses scenes, monologues, and games. Look for BIG's next long form troupe, "Plesantly Invasive" to debut at the April show.
