Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) March 22, 2005 -- In its first concert event, 96.1 The Beat presents SpringFest '05 starring Grammy award-winning super group OutKast featuring Big Boi and the Dungeon Family, Killer Mike, Sleepy Brown, and others to be announced. Summitfest, a teen enrichment program, will take place prior to the show. This concert event and "biggest youth summit ever" will be at the Charlotte Coliseum on Saturday, April 30, 2005, beginning at 6pm.
In celebration of their very first concert event being produced, 96.1 The Beat is offering a limited quantity of advance tickets for a special price of $9.61. These specially-priced tickets will be available online and through all Ticketmaster locations while supplies last.
Summitfest is a youth summit, discussion, and presentation involving local and national celebrities which touches on some of the issues facing todays 16 to 24 year-olds. Included are topics such as responsibility, self-esteem, healthy lifestyles, drugs and alcohol, strategies for college life, peer pressure, and more.
Summitfest will kick off this mega-event at 6pm, and last approximately one hour. A confirmed list of participating celebrities will be announced in the coming weeks.
Following Summitfest, "Album of the Year" Grammy-winning group OutKast featuring Big Boi and the Dungeon Family, Sleepy Brown, Killer Mike, and others (to be announced in the next few weeks) will be performing for the 20,000+ crowd in what could inevitably make SpringFest '05 the concert event of the year.
