Caen Engineering to be First North American Distributor of Fibrenetix RAID Storage Systems

Caen Engineering, Inc, California-based storage solution provider for government, aerospace, and universities, announced a strategic partnership with Fibrenetix, Europe-based specialists in high-performance, cost-effective RAID systems. The first readily available Fibrenetix systems may show at the 2005 NAB show in April.

Orange, CA (PRWEB) March 31, 2005 -- Caen Engineering, Inc, California-based storage solution provider for government, aerospace, and universities, announced a strategic partnership with Fibrenetix, European specialists in high-performance, cost-effective RAID systems. The first readily available Fibrenetix systems may show at the 2005 NAB show in April.

"When Jes Nagel, CEO of Fibrenetix, came in and showed us the Fibrenetix boxes, we were really excited. They have a product that competes with some of the heaviest hitters in the industry," said Martin Calderwood, VP of Operations for Caen Engineering. After extensive testing, Caen agreed to be the first North American distributor of Fibrenetix.

Fibrenetix is one of the few remaining European RAID manufacturers. With head offices in the United Kingdom, Manufacturing and Logistics in Spain, a new Technology Centre in Ireland and Sales offices in France, Germany and Holland, Fibrenetix is rapidly expanding their product availability throughout the European market. Fibrenetix has redefined cost-per-terabyte standards in high-quality RAID systems. On their recently signed contract with Kodak Service & Support Europe, Jes Nagel said, "Our advanced RAID technology is creating serious interest with large corporations. These blue-chip companies want high technology but they want it competitively priced and backed by outstanding service." The Fibrenetix partnership with Kodak fits Kodak's requirements perfectly.

Jes Nagel continued "We are very pleased to have Caen onboard to launch our products in North America. The company has a long established reputation in the market place and Fibrenetix can benefit from their expertise."

Caen will offer the VP-8 and VP-12 RAID systems starting April 1, 2005.
