Killeen Cornish, mom entrepreneur, sees the positive side of a competing product appearing in People magazine and reaps the benefits of the idea getting national media.

Killeen invented her product out of necessity, as many mom entrepreneurs do. Her mission was to provide a useful, quality product that promotes a healthy environment for young children in places that would expose them to germs – particularly grocery carts. Cornish's custom shopping cart covers are designed with a safety strap, front pocket, toy loop, elastic adjustment, and generous padding. She adds, "Plus they conveniently fold into an attractive tote bag or pillow. Our fabrics are the highest quality and we can even sew a custom cover with a customer's choice of fabric."

Begun as a way to stay home with her daughters, Killeen's company, "Sew Original" combines her passion for sewing and a desire to help support her family financially.
