In 2001 Billy Randal Maynard of Harold, Ky. felt compelled to write the "greatest poem ever written".He wrestled with the idea for weeks. Tried to conceive how it might come to him. Finally after deep sincere prayer, the poem "came to him. It was written in about ten or fifteen minutes, with no alterations. He decided to name it "The Greatest Poem Ere Written"
