Digital Film Tools Releases 55mm 5.0

Digital Film Tools releases 55mm 5.0, a comprehensive set of Digital Optical Filters for Adobe After Effects and After Effects compatible programs, Apple's Final Cut Pro and Motion, Avid Editing Systems, Adobe Photoshop and Discreet Flint, Flame and Inferno systems.

(PRWEB) April 1, 2005 -- 55mm is a comprehensive set of digital optical filters meant to simulate popular glass camera filters, specialized lenses, optical lab processes, lighting gels, film grain, exacting color correction as well as natural light and photographic effects--all in a controlled digital environment with either 8 or 16 bits per channel processing. The most important parts of the photographic process are encapsulated into this one set of plug-ins which includes: Black & White, Black Mist, Bleach Bypass, Center Spot, Color Compensating, Color Conversion, Color Correct, Color Grad, Color Temperature, Cross Processing, Day for Night, Defocus, Diffusion, Dual Tint, Enhancing, Fast Blur, Faux Film, Fluorescent, Fog, F-Stop, GamColor Gels, Gels, Glow, Gold Reflector, Grain, Halo, Infrared, Lens Distortion, Light, Light Balancing, Low Contrast, Mist, Mono Tint, ND Grad, Night Vision, Overexpose, Ozone, Photographic Filters, Polarizer, Printer Points, Rosco Gels, Selection, Selective Color Correct, Selective Saturation, Selective Soft Focus, Silver Reflector, Skin Smoother, Soft Effects, Star, Streaks, Sunset/Twilight, Temperature, Tint, Ultra Contrast, Vignette and Warm/Cool.

Digitally adding filters as a post process is more flexible than committing to a look during photography and allows you the freedom to experiment. But for those of you who just can't stop putting filtration in front of the lens, we have developed the Defog filter which utilizes advanced deweathering algorithms. Defog restores clear day contrasts and colors of a scene taken in bad weather such as fog and mist. It is also successful in removing the effects of optical Fog and Diffusion filters.

55mm 5.0 adds 15 new filters, tunes existing filter algorithms and adds filter presets to a variety of different plug-ins.

Digital Film Tools is an offshoot of Digital FilmWorks; a Los Angeles based full-service visual effects facility specializing in feature film and television special effects. 55mm is available for download or purchase at: www.digitalfilmtools.com at the following prices: Photoshop - $195; Avid, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Motion, Combustion, Digital Fusion - $395; Flint, Flame, Inferno, Smoke and Fire - $1995. Upgrade pricing is available for existing customers.
