After the Diploma: Money Troubles and Getting a Job is Top of Mind for Student Graduates - Breakthrough Seminar to Help Alleviate Their Fears

The Workforce Group today announced its Atlanta 2005 offering of The Workforce Survival Clinic, a ground-breaking workshop specifically designed to teach students how to exceed employer expectations, navigate the workplace political games, and become as financially successful as possible, once they get a job.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) April 8, 2005 -- Brian F., a recent graduate, just received a job offer from an attractive Wall Street accounting firm. He has reason to believe the firm is low-balling" the offer, to see if he will take it. How should he express his concerns about the low offer without offending anyone?

Students will struggle with these types of questions and more during their quest to become gainfully employed in the workforce. Experts say that making one wrong decision regarding job selection, compensation, benefits, or workplace assimilation can have up to a 40% impact on future compensation and promotability. The Workforce Survival Clinic was created by The Workforce Group, LLC as a result of an independent survey of over 1000 high school and college graduates across North America, asking them what were their largest concerns as they prepared to complete their education and enter the workforce. Money concerns (college financing, personal investing, and being financially independent) and securing a job in which they will enjoy and prosper were by far the top rated concerns of this 16-24 age group, scoring 45% and 37% respectively. Navigating college life, work-life balance, and dealing with difficult bosses/co-workers were the next highest scoring categories.

Our workshops have been in high demand since we created the curriculum in 2004 and the popularity continues to rise," says Karan Rhodes. Students tell us that there are few outlets where they can get this type of information directly from business professionals, but focused on their needs. We also have many adult participants who are currently or planning to transition to a new job come to brush up on their skills."

The Workforce Survival Clinics are presented by Karan Rhodes, Curriculum Director and Managing Principal of The Workforce Group. The Atlanta 2005 session will be held on July 30, 2005 at The Smyrna Community Center in Smyrna, Georgia. For more information, visit www.theworkforcegroup.com to register or call Karan Rhodes at 770-384-1103. Each clinic will have high powered experts from the corporate and educational worlds, teaching course models. Corporate sponsorship opportunities are available.
