Typically, a tribute album contains cover versions of songs that were written by the band or artist to whom the tribute is focused on. In the case of "KISS Cover to Cover," the songs were actually written and performed by another artist before KISS recorded updated versions of these classics. "This is the one thing that has not been done in terms of a KISS tribute album," says the CD's executive producer, R.E. Asbury.

These songs were covered by KISS, and are now being given a third dimension by today's up and coming recording artists.
