Gold Buckle Network Welcomes Jack Beckman to Advisory Board

Retired Rodeo Arena Manager Jack Bradshaw Joins GBN Operations Committee

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) April 13, 2005 -- Gold Buckle Network (GBN) (www.goldbuckleNetwork.com) announced today that veteran rodeo arena manager John C. (Jack) Beckman has joined the companys Advisory Board. Beckman will advise GBN on a variety of sports marketing and operations issues, including the selection of ranches, farms, venues or facilities for the production of innovative new rodeo channel content and behind the scenes documentary coverage.

A retired owner and director of the Mesquite Championship Resistol Arena, Beckman worked with one of his heroes, Neal Gay, to oversee the transition of the outdoor Mesquite Arena to the current world-class indoor facility and convention center that is home to some of Rodeo's best PRCA action. He remained the Director for several years after the Resistol Arena & Rodeo Center was sold to Southwest Sports Group in 1999.

"We are excited to have Jack Beckman as a part of our team. His hands-on experience in sports marketing, facilities management, and rodeo along with his commitment to quality ranch and animal management, will be invaluable to the Network as we seek to bring the Western Lifestyle to a world-wide audience," said Russ Aman, GBN Content Director.

Before taking over at the Mesquite Arena, Beckman was the Director of the Dallas Reunion Arena, the General Manager of Rushmore Plaza Civic Center and Theater in Rapid City, South Dakota and Assistant Director of the Dallas Convention Center. He has been a member of the International Association of Arena/Auditorium Managers for 40 years.

Beckman joins rodeo industry veterans Cleo Hearn and Bob Tallman on the GBN Operations Committee.
