For more than 50 years, the world has laughed, sighed and identified with Charlie Brown and his Peanuts friends through comics, television and stage. Clark Gesner wrote the original play, music and lyrics. In its Broadway revival of 1999, the production was re-imagined by the creative team of Michael Mayer and Andrew Lippa (composer/lyricist of the Off-Broadway Wild Party) – with the blessing of Mr. Schultz. The new version received four Tony nominations: Best Revival of a Musical, Best Director, Best Featured Actor in a Musical (Roger Bart, Snoopy) and Best Featured Actress in a Musical (Kristin Chenowith, Sally). This truly is a brand new look at the wildly popular show and it will be entertainment the whole family can enjoy!

Plays and Players Theatre is located at 1714 Delancey Place, Philadelphia, PA. Tickets are available at the Plays & Players box office thirty minutes before show time. Plays and Players is a non-profit community theatre group, and is one of the oldest continuously operating community theaters in America. Having remained open since its first production, Plays & Players has produced theater through world wars and the Depression. It was the home of the First Korean Congress in 1919. Housed in the theater are original murals painted by Edith Emerson as well as historical tiles, which decorate the lobby.

Plays & Players is dedicated to enhancing the communitys interest and hands-on experience in the arts, providing a free forum for community members to actively participate in theater, and to maintain and oversee the operations of the historically registered playhouse.
