Frickin' A, an "Indie" Band, Is In Rotation on VH-1

Frickin' A, an "Indie" band, is in rotation on VH-1. The band's remake of Rick Springfield's "Jessie's Girl" continues to overcome industry boundaries and puts Toucan Cove Entertainment in confidently in the game with the majors. It's been nothing but Top Ten action for Frickin' A.

(PRWEB) April 15, 2005 -- "Jessie's Girl" is the # 1 Mainstream Indie single in the country, according to MediaBase radio charts.

The single debuted on the Billboard Single Sales chart at # 9 and rose up to # 2 where it stayed for an entire month, just out of reach of Destiny's Child. Next up was the release of the single to radio, where it was the # 2 Most Added song at Top 40 Radio in its first week.

The video, which stars Rick Springfield, make its pre-cable teaser debut at VH-1.com and within one day, became # 3 most requested video, above J-Lo, Green Day and Destiny's Child.

Also at VH-1.com, Frickin' A is exercising crowd control on Grade A, the online version of TRL where viewers vote for their favorites, and every week an artist is eliminated until the last band standing. Currently, Frickin' A is # 2 in votes, surpassing votes for Green Day, Ciara and Rob Thomas. http://www.vh1.com/media/grade_a/

Frickin' A is on the # 5 album in the country! NOW 18, featuring "Jessie's Girl" has sold more than 800,000 units. Frickin' A is the first "Indie" of 360 artists to be selected by Universal Music Group to be in the company of U2, Nelly and Gwen Stefani. All of this superstar shoulder-rubbing and Top Ten action has driven traffic to FrickinA.com to its highest numbers ever with over 1.2 million hits to the web site in March.

And speaking of hits, the band is hitting the road, continuing its national tour in the Midwest, having just finished Spring Break shows for MTV.

Frickin' A is available for interviews/appearances. Please address requests for media kit, video and/or interview time from Deborah on 323.467.7633 or brosseaupr@aol.com.
