Four White Walls Gallery in downtown Phoenix will host it's third monthly fashion show, with Spring Burlesque as the theme. The show is highlighted by the men's and women's wear line of LabelHorde's own Rhonda Zayas, as the finale.
Shari Fontaine Carnahan and Chandra will join Rhonda Zayas on the runway to show off their latest designs inspired by Burlesque.
Mother Fakir and friends from the Strange Family Circus will also be present to perform.
Rhonda Zayas's evolution into the fashion world comes after a successful, decade-long career as an Art Director in the Los Angeles entertainment industry. Along with partner Angela Johnson, Rhonda owns LabelHorde Fashion, and is the founder of the Arizona Fashion Foundation, both organizations that foster the growth of the Arizona fashion industry.
Rhonda's fashion line can best be described as "urban couture" because it is, in essence, wearable art that reflects her graphic design background. Many of her pieces have imagery ranging from sketches to advertisements and illustrations printed directly into the fabric, with an unexpeced mix of different fabrics and textures. Her pieces reflect her sense of humor and are colorful and fun to wear.
Saturday, April 16. 1023 Grand Ave. Phoenix. Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 7:30. $5.
Four White Walls is owned and operated by Sheila Bocchine, a recent transplant to Phoenix from New York City. She is ardent in her quest to foster intellectual and creative growth in Phoenix. She promotes artistic awareness by hosting art and design related events at her gallery each month, with the community encouraged to participate.
