International Biometric Group (IBG) extends an invitation to participate in IBGÂs monthly teleconference series today at 1:00 pm ET (10:00 am PT).
IBG will reveal the answers to these exciting questions:
This monthÂs installation of IBGÂs monthly teleconference series will address the most dynamic government initiatives related to biometrics: HSPD-12 and biometric interoperability.
Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 dictated the federal government to introduce a government-wide standard for secure and reliable forms of identification for its employees and contractors. Recent NIST publications such as FIPS 201 (Federal Information Processing Standard for Personal Identity Verification) and Special Publication 800-76, Biometric Data Specification for Personal Identity Verification, will impact the use of biometrics in federal and commercial applications.
Michael Thieme, IBGÂs Director of Special Projects, will discuss the implications of these developments with a specific focus on biometric usage and interoperability.
There is no fee to participate in IBG's teleconference series.
