C-Search Announces Support for IBM WebSphere Information Integrator Omnifind Edition

C-Search Limited today announced the new release of its search solutions for Notes/Domino domains, C-Search and C-Search for Domino.Doc and with them comes support for IBM WebSphere Information Integrator Omnifind Edition. C-Search provides native crawlers for Domino that allows organizations to build a fast, lightweight index of quality searchable materials taken from any number of databases and servers in the Notes/Domino domain. This index is designed to be replicated bringing awareness of information to all users regardless of their location or the location of the Domino materials themselves.

(PRWEB) April 16, 2005 -- The C-Search index is built with full design and location awareness to ensure users are presented with meaningful results and are always routed to the nearest instance of information from the search results. The C-Search monitors also convert the multitude of Domino data structures into a single structured view of the domain ensuring results are always presented in a consistent manner offering best value to its users.

WebSphere Information Integrator (WebSphere II) OmniFind Edition provides enterprise search middleware for powering intranets, extranets, and corporate public web sites. With no development effort whatsoever organizations using Omnifind can now plug the C-Search index into their enterprise solution and within minutes Omnifind will have access to all of the databases monitored by C-Search.

C-Search R1.1 and C-Search for Domino.Doc R1.1 now detect whether the referrer is a C-Search user or has entered the system from an external source. External referrers are seamlessly routed through to the original source documents. Alternatively, the administrator can choose to present C-Search summary pages to external users. This offers a number of advantages including:
• The built in attachment awareness provides hypertext links to all document attachments allowing users to launch files from search results without opening the source materials themselves.

• Links are also provided to each documents host database.

• Even now, many Notes databases are not web enabled or pages may open with errors if not launched from within the host application. C-Search uses its own forms to display original document contents to the user and these ensure the search and retrieve process is never a frustrating experience.

In addition to support for Omnifind, the new pass through feature can be applied to any other systems that require access to Domino information making searching the Domino domain from other systems easier than ever before.
