New Book Shows Families How Sexual Predators Think

Predator's Among Us has easy to understand chapters that include facts and statistics about the various types of pedophiles, child molesters and child pornographers. Throughout the book are actual statements that a potential victim would expect to hear while a child molester is conversing with them on the Internet or face-to-face in the local community. By revealing the way the average child molester thinks, Posey believes that people will see the warning signs of child sexual abuse much earlier and more children will be protected.

Wellington, KS (PRWEB) April 18, 2005 -- Cyber Crime Fighter, Julie Posey's latest book sets its sights on protecting kids from sexual predators. Predators Among Us, available for purchase at http://www.julieposey.com/predators.htm, details the behaviors associated with being a sexual predator. In the book, Posey explores the many techniques used by the average child molester to gain access to young people and keep them silent.

"I wrote this book because there are so many people that ask me what kind of person would molest a child and why these crimes nearly always go unreported," says author Julie Posey. "Child molesters are very skilled at selecting their victims and we are reading news reports about a number of kids being abducted and killed. Everyone has to be aware of how they work in order to prevent child sexual abuse."

Posey is no stranger to cyber crimes or child sexual abuse. She is the Cyber Crime Investigator for Wellington Police Department in Wellington, Kansas. She has made headlines across the country and around the world for her work with online sexual predators.

In the book's forward, Robert Lee writes, "Julie is to be commended for her perseverance, character and unrelenting compassion for children."

Posey intends to use Predators Among Us in her upcoming child safety presentations. Another book authored by Posey, My Life as a Cyber Crime Fighter, is the true story about her life and her work. It has also just been released.
