Appleby has been in the yoga business since the late 1980's when she began taking lunch time classes on the lot at her former position in Home Entertainment at Paramount Pictures in Hollywood. Founded in 1995, YogaForce was one of the first movers in the yoga market and the line sold, under her own label, to over 150 stores including Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's and Fred Segal. YogaForce has appeared on several TV Shows and in major Motion Pictures. "I am currently working on a few new films with the Product Placement people at Sony."
YogaForce has a nice celebrity following. In fact, Pop Star Jessica Simpson has signed a YogaForce sweatshirt to benefit The Skin Cancer Foundation (www.skincancer.org). Appleby had Skin Cancer a few years ago and was not aware that a little freckle could actually kill you. May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month.
