High School Sports America is now accepting Student Athlete of Year Scholarship applications for the Class of 2006. Elite student athletes can now apply at the HSSA website: www.hssaus.com

HSSA is now accepting early nominations and applications from elite student athletes participiating in 20 different sports. The 2004-2005 All-State teams and scholarship finalists were announced last week. A complete listing of All-State teams can be found at www.hssaus.com

(PRWEB) April 20, 2005 -- Early applications for the High School Sports America Student Athlete of The Year, Class of 2006 scholarships, are now being accepted. Student athletes from all 50 states may now apply by going to the HSSA website at www.hssaus.com. The early application deadline is May 5, 2005.

Carl Lewis, Mike Alstott, Jennie Finch, Diana Taurasi, Michael Phelps, The Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, Mark Calcavacchia, Beth Bauer, TJ Ford, Mardy Fish and Mark Mulder will be the presenters of the HSSA scholarships in their respective sports. HSSA is committed to recognizing and rewarding student athletes destined to become Tomorrows Leaders."

HSSA has recently named the 2004-2005 All-State Teams and Finalists for the Student Athlete of Year scholarships. All-State honorees have consistently shown the dedication, discipline and great willingness to succeed in the classroom, on the field and in their respective communities. They are competing for their share of up to $270,000 in scholarship money. Winners will be announced in mid May.
