Availability of Xilinx Virtex 4 Based PCI Express Evaluation Board

HiTech Global Distribution, LLC today announced the worldwide availability of the Virtex-4 PCI Express XpressFX" evaluation boards designed by PLDA.

San Jose, CA (PRWEB) April 25, 2005 -- The XpressFX boards are powered by Xilinx Virtex-4 XC4VFX40, XC4VFX60, or XC4VFX100 with 12, 16, or 20 RocketIO Multi Gigabit Transceivers, and 41,904, 56,880 or 94,896 logic cells. The XpressFX boards provide one PCI Express 8-lane male connector, one PCI Express 4-lane female connector, two SFP, and two HSSDC2 connectors. The XpressFX boards also provide access up to 512 MB of DDR2 memory.

The XpressFX boards are bundled with a full featured version of the PLD Applications PCI Express IP Core. Designers can add their own logic inside the FPGA, connect it to our PCI Express controller and benefit from the on-board DDR2 memory and a wide variety of I/0s.
